Workshop Expression of Interest
I believe creativity and painting is not an innate gift—it is a skill anyone can learn.
As an essentially self-taught artist whose work regularly finds homes through galleries and events like the Affordable Art Fair, I built my practice from curiosity, observation, and hands-on experimentation rather than formal art school rules. I was mentored by a family friend and brilliant water-colour artist in my younger years. I learned by doing, so I focus on the same practical, core foundations that demystified the painting process for me and made putting brush to canvas feel approachable and intuitive.
I’m in the process of designing a series of relaxed, half-day acrylic painting workshops (potentially hosted in a local café setting with great coffee in hand).
What to Expect:
Core Principles: We will break down key visual elements—such as composition and design, color mixing, tonal values and temperature, light and shadow—into simple, practical steps.
Hands-On Creation: You will paint your own small original small acrylic work from start to finish.
Ready to Hang: You’ll walk away at the end of the session with a finished piece ready to display.
Whether you haven't picked up a brush since school or want to loosen up your current style, I’d love your input to shape these sessions. Please take a minute to share what interests you below!
